Here's the deal: My dance crew (The Time Travelers) and I never thought we'd be in a dance competiton, or begging our friends for money, but due to our love of Saugatuck Public Schools (and a little pressure from the community) we're gettin' our groove on September 26 in Dancing for the Arts V at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts!
What We Want: Five bucks! Yes, you heard me right - just five #%!%&#$ dollars from all of our family and friends. Rather than chase down BIG money from BIG corporations we are fundraising grassroots style. We would be grateful for $5 from 400 different peeps. We think this approach will spread the word about Douglas Elementary School's Scholarship Fund and the importance of supporting the arts in our community. Of course, you are welcome to empty your bank accounts and give more if you feel compelled.
What You Get For Your $5 Contribution:
1. Karma, lots of it.
2. A funny, technical, dangerous, sexy, and memorable performance from Scott & Jen Kierzek, Kaleb & Tara Kortman, and David & Casey Lokker. *If you do not attend the performance we will provide a YouTube link of our dance session.
3. A hug or kiss (on the cheek) from any (or all) of The Time Travelers.
4. An overwhelming feeling of joy, pride, and gratification knowing you've supported a scholarship fund providing educational opportunites in the arts in our great community.
5. A tax write-off - that's right....you don't have to lie about the value of the junk you dropped off at Goodwill for a bigger tax return! Dancing for the Arts and the DES Scholarship Fund are 501 C3s so you can write-off the $5.
