Aiutaci ad ampliare il Centro Socio-Culturale di Thiès

Wizard CC è un collettivo con base a Milano fondato nel 2022.

Il gruppo è nato con lo scopo di stimolare in città un forte senso di comunità attorno al ciclismo, attraverso social ride ed eventi aperti a neofiti e ciclisti esperti.

Tre anni fa, la strada di Wizard CC ha incrociato quella dell’Associazione Sunugal al CIQ di Corvetto, un luogo speciale di scambio e relazione dove storie e culture si intrecciano ogni giorno.

Da questo legame è nata una collaborazione e poi un obiettivo comune: sostenere progetti concreti di cooperazione internazionale in Senegal.

Dal 22 aprile al 2 maggio attraverseremo in bicicletta una parte del Senegal per raccontare, attraverso un breve documentario, l’impatto reale dei progetti portati avanti da Sunugal. Non sarà solo un viaggio: sarà un modo per testimoniare da vicino come questi interventi migliorino ogni giorno la vita di tante persone.

Questa raccolta fondi nasce per sostenere un obiettivo preciso: l’ampliamento del Centro Socio-Culturale italo senegalese di Thiès, una struttura educativa che in 10 anni ha accolto e supportato oltre 4.000 minori. Oggi però gli spazi non bastano più.

Vogliamo contribuire al completamento del secondo piano del Centro, così da creare nuove aule studio e laboratori musicali, e offrire un luogo ancora più accogliente e attrezzato per minori e famiglie in condizioni di vulnerabilità.

Le donazioni raccolte saranno destinate interamente al progetto di ampliamento del Centro. Il viaggio ed il film sono stati finanziati dai partner del progetto.

Ogni donazione andrà direttamente a sostenere i lavori. Abbiamo individuato alcuni traguardi progressivi:

3.600 € – Idraulica, sanitari e impianti elettrici

5.800 € – Idraulica, sanitari, impianti elettrici e tinteggiatura

8.300 € – Idraulica, sanitari, impianti elettrici, tinteggiatura, serramenti e porte

11.800 € – Completamento degli interventi, inclusa la pavimentazione

La gestione dei fondi sarà improntata alla massima trasparenza: le risorse raccolte saranno trasferite direttamente a Sunugal Senegal, che coordinerà i lavori.

Durante il viaggio e nelle fasi successive condivideremo aggiornamenti fotografici e video per raccontare l’avanzamento del progetto e documentare come verranno utilizzate le donazioni.

Il viaggio in Senegal non sarà l'ultimo capitolo di questa storia. A settembre torneremo al CIQ di Corvetto, il luogo dove tutto è iniziato, dove Wizard CC e Sunugal hanno costruito il loro legame, per la première del documentario. Quella serata sarà anche il momento in cui chiuderemo ufficialmente la raccolta fondi: un modo per celebrare insieme la comunità che ha reso possibile questo progetto. Da Milano a Thiès, e di nuovo a Milano: un percorso che parte dal quartiere e arriva lontano, per poi tornare a casa.

Help us expand the Socio-Cultural Centre of Thiès

Wizard CC is a Milan-based collective founded in 2022. The group was created to build a strong sense of community across the city. To do so, it organises social rides and events open to everyone, newcomers and seasoned cyclists alike.

While organising some of these events, three years ago the collective began collaborating with Associazione Sunugal at the CIQ di Corvetto, in Milan: a place of encounter, exchange, and relationship building. From that bond, a shared goal was born: to support concrete international cooperation projects in Senegal.

From 22 April to 2 May, we will cycle through part of Senegal to document, through a short film, the real impact of the projects carried out by Sunugal. This will not just be a journey: it will be a way to witness first-hand how these initiatives improve the lives of many people, every single day.

This fundraiser has a precise goal: to support the expansion of the Socio-Cultural Centre of Thiès, an educational facility that over the past 10 years has welcomed and supported more than 4,000 children. Today, however, the space is no longer enough.

We want to help complete the Centre's second floor, creating new study rooms and music workshops, and offering an even more welcoming and well-equipped space for children and families in vulnerable conditions.

All donations will go entirely towards the expansion project. The journey and the film have been funded by the project's partners.

Every donation will go directly towards the works. We have identified a set of progressive milestones:

€3,600 – Plumbing, sanitary fittings and electrical systems

€5,800 – Plumbing, sanitary fittings, electrical systems and painting

€8,300 – Plumbing, sanitary fittings, electrical systems, painting,

fixtures and doors

€11,800 – Completion of all works, including flooring

Fund management will be fully transparent: all resources raised will be transferred directly to Sunugal Senegal, which will coordinate the works. Throughout the journey and beyond, we will share photo and video updates to document the project's progress and show exactly how donations are being used.

The journey to Senegal will not be the final chapter of this story. In September, we will return to the CIQ di Corvetto, the place where it all began, where Wizard CC and Sunugal built their bond, for the documentary's première. That evening will also mark the official close of the fundraiser: a moment to celebrate together the community that made this project possible. From Milan to Thiès, and back to Milan: a journey that starts in the neighbourhood, reaches far, and finds its way home.
