Dakota Thomas Kerr Funeral
Donazione protetta
On December 1, 2020, the world lost an amazing young man. Dakota Thomas Kerr was a loving son, an amazing brother, cousin and friend. He was a very talented artist and loved to make his sister Avery laugh. I will always remember him as this quiet little boy who hid behind his Nintendo DS. That was how he was when my brother Christopher Opolski and my Sister-in-law and friend, Michele Strotman, introduced him to me as their son, Dakota. Chris never thought of him as a step-son, but as his son. He told me so many stories about his exploits and showed me artwork that made he and Michele proud. He would send me videos of him making Avery laugh and all of them playing with the dog and running amuck in the house. The last time I saw him, he had grown into a fine young man, who still seemed a bit shy in front of those he didn't know well and who towered above both me and his mom.
For those of you who knew him well, please share more with me about him and his life for Michele, Avery and those around him to Cherish. For those of you who didn't get a chance to know him, know that he made many around him smile and laugh.
If you are in the Region, his mom, Michele Strotman, has made funeral arrangements.
Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.
It will be at Moeller Funeral Home at 104 Roosevelt Road in Valparaiso, Indiana.
