Daevry Calibuso has been my bestfriend for nearly a decade. Any of you that know her, knows that there is a special type of light and energy that enters as soon as she walks in a room. She is the most caring and considerate person I know.
This afternoon, while driving home, she was rammed into by a massive truck who swerved into her lane without looking. Luckily, Daevry is at the hospital only a few cuts, scrapes and bruises but her car is absolutely totaled and despite having insurance she will have to deal with the financial repercussions of the accident (which is only being heightened by what's happening globally) Because of all that's happening with COVID-19, Daevry was also laid off until further notice. For those that know Daevry, you also know how amazing of an artist that she is. As an artist trying to make it in the midst of all we're dealing with, this has put an extreme financial burden on her and her family - something no one should have to go through in a time like this.
Any of you who have met the Calibuso 'Ohana can attest to how kind, caring and selfless they are. They are always willing to help someone in need and they have two other daughters to care for.
