Cyrus and Rylynn Fire Relief
Cyrus Ortiz-Luis has been a teacher in Vista Unified School District since 2006. He started his career at Vista High School and has been teaching Science at Mission Vista High School since 2014. Cyrus has dedicated numerous hours giving back to his students through his ongoing involvement with ASB and as advisor for various clubs throughout the years. He has also been raising his 8 year old daughter, Rylynn, on his own, while providing her with an amazing life.
Cyrus has always given so much of his time and energy to help others, and now he needs our help due to a recent tragedy.
On March 3rd, 2023 Cyrus and Rylynn’s home was destroyed after an electrical fire started in the wall between their kitchen and their attached neighbors’ home. Not only did Cyrus and Rylynn lose their home, clothes, and personal belongings, but most devastatingly, their beloved dog, Basil. Rebuilding their home will take at least half a year and they anticipate a financial strain for costs exceeding what insurance will cover.

Along with this fundraiser, we will also be collecting gift cards to Amazon and Home Depot and/or Lowe's.
