Create a NonProfit for Elderly, Women & Children

Hello! My name is Susan, and I am seeking funding to get the legal logistics in place to start a non-profit agency to manage a community project involving education, job training, elder care, women and children. I see a huge need to liberate and empower women in my poverty filled rural area. Most of the women here are busy caring for elder family members and children with limited resources, while the partners a working very few hours due to lack of local opportunities. I want to start an integrated elder living facility where I can care for the elderly offering residence based health care services, train the local women to work here while also providing childcare services for the students and employees. I want to offer on site healthcare services to the elderly residents, education for the women and the children and overnight facilities for the women and children as needed. I want to be able to offer certification as nurses assistants, cooks and child care workers to the local impoverished residents. This way the people served will not only have a job with us, but have the certifications to take this skill to other areas as desired.

I have the perfect skill set to run this operation as I have been a registered nurse, practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and an associate professor in my career. I am now wanting to offer support to the community with education, healthcare and employment. I own the land outright, I have an established food forest here and have the rights to the water and access to electricity. I have identified the neighbors who are unable to work due to oblications of caring for sick elderly family members and children. This rural area offers very few employment opportunities, and I see this project as offering support in many needed realms for my community. Of course an operation like this will have monthly recurring costs, Currently I am just seeking the financial support now in the form of donations to create a legal organization and get 501c3 federal IRS status to manage the operations of this project from the perspective of grants and donations. I have personally invested thousands of hours, dollars and sweat in this project. I am so close, yet the lack of funds for the start up of the legal aspects of the organization are holding me back.

I need these funds to hire legal and accounting support, make the filings and pay fees for the government permits required to achieve the needed certificaitons and permissions for the childcare, dining and cooking facilities, construction and educational aspects of this project. Once this is in place we will begin seking grants and donations with legal tax deductible status for construciton and operating costs. I am grateful for your support in this process.
