My name is Ricardo Valenzuela; I am a 30 year honorably retired law Enforcement Officer from the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD). Which has now become the Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO). The MDSO serves the unincorporated community of Miami-Dade County that has a population of almost 3 million residents.

Due to an unfortunate and unexpected event, my life drastically changed last year when my home and all the contents were completely destroyed by Fire. Since me and my family have been living between a Hotel and a Rental Property covered by my Insurance Company Policy.

At the end of calendar year 2025, the coverage from my insurance towards my temporary rental home will come to an end. This means that everything destroyed by the Fire and not reimbursed by my insurance including my rental home will have to be covered by me.

I have never done this before, meaning asking for monetarily assistance from friends and families but I have contributed to many in need in the past. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and it most definitely will help me and my family to endure the expenses that I will be responsible for beginning year 2026.
