Wedding fund instead of Bridal Shower

Instead of a bridal shower I figured we would do a Go fund me to help pay for the wedding and other expenses including our honeymoon and plane tickets to get his family here for the wedding, as we live 1000 Miles apart right now so appliances and home stuff is not a need at the moment.
