This September, the team at CPM is taking on two charity walks covering over 35 miles in total to raise vital funds for an incredible cause local to our Thame office: 21st Century Thame.
We're walking to support the charity’s mission to create a more sustainable, connected, and wildlife-friendly community, right here in Thame and the surrounding areas.
Walk 1: The 3 Dons - 14-Mile Circular Walk Around Thame
We’ll be taking on a 14-mile loop through Thame, passing green spaces, local landmarks, and community hubs that reflect exactly what 21st Century Thame is working to protect. This walk highlights the importance of nature on our doorstep—and the power of local action.
Walk 2: The Edale Skyline - 21 Miles in the Peak District
For an added challenge, some of our team will also be heading to the Peak District, where we’ll tackle a 21-mile hike across rugged terrain, steep climbs, and beautiful countryside.
About the Charity: 21st Century Thame
21st Century Thame is a volunteer-powered local charity running environmental and sustainability projects across the town and nearby villages.
Their key work includes:
- Hedgehog Highways – helping create safe routes through gardens and green spaces so hedgehogs can roam freely again.
- Habitat-Building Workshops – where volunteers of all ages build hedgehog homes from scratch, either to sell or donate to local wildlife-friendly spaces.
- ️ Repair Cafés – free monthly community events to fix broken items, reduce waste, and encourage skill sharing.
- Sustainability Education – inspiring schools, homes, and businesses to live more sustainably.
Their projects are hands-on, hyper-local, and powered entirely by donations and community involvement.
