Cov19 Killinchy Churches Together Emergency Fund
Donazione protetta
The Coronavirus Covid-19 has plunged our community into difficulty and things will only get worse as the virus takes its course over the next weeks and months. We are aiming to raise £10,000 to alleviate poverty and distress amongst individuals and families.
Killinchy Churches Together, which includes all of the various churches in the area, are responding by setting up this Fund.
It is OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
The area stretches from the edge of Saintfield, Comber and Killyleagh to the lough shore and includes the villages of Ballygowan, Killinchy, Kilmood, Lisbane, Ardmillan and other hamlets.
We want to help people in their isolation and vulnerability as they fight off the threat of Covid-19.
We want to support ongoing needs of people, to ensure that their well being is maintained.
We want to enable people to keep warm by accessing home heating oil or warm clothes.
We want to enable people to access a nutritious meal by connecting them to services providing groceries, and/or ready made meals.
We want to enable and encourage people to use and access technology to keep them connected to the outside world.
We want to reach out to isolated people by telephone, and befriending if possible.
