COVID ICU Nurse Loses EVERYTHING in House Fire
Donation protected
This morning (August 2, 2020), my sister's apartment building was consumed by a devastating fire. Amy Thieken-Maldonado is a single mom and an ICU Nurse who cares for COVID patients at Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, SC. She lived in the apartment with her 13yr old son and EVERYTHING they owned was destroyed in the fire. Thanks to Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) who woke Amy by kicking in her door and helped her escape to safety...with only the clothes on her back. https://www.wrdw.com/2020/08/02/eight-families-displaced-after-apartment-fire-in-aiken/ .
Victims of fires face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope this fund will help alleviate some of the challenges that Amy is facing as she tries to move on and rebuild their lives. We recognize that many people are facing hardships and we are extremely grateful for any donation.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.
