On Saturday, November 17th, my husband Tyrone Mack and I were blessed with the opportunity to adopt his five, yes 5, nieces and nephews. The Washington Post covered the story last week (see link below). With this  opportunity and blessing came a huge need for a lot of things. Love, patience, hard work, and commitment came naturally. However, the need has been real in terms of finances and especially transportation. We have gone from a Honda Civic, which comfortably fit my husband and I, to switching to 3 other minivans in attempts to fill the needs of a family of 7, which have all proven to be unreliable. At this point, my 3rd minivan's engine failed the cost to repair it is outstanding.
