Co-operative Hot Water! Rose Howey's Boiler has died

Rose Howey Housing Co-operative is a member of Radical Routes. with 16 residents at the moment! When we moved in, we inherited an OLD boiler and hot water system- with HUGE hot water cylinders and cold water tanks in the attic-which was designed for when the house was a nursing home and a bail hostel. We've nursed it along for 12 years, but now the boiler has died-we need to convert to a more energy efficient and mains based system- to allow us to drain the tanks in the attic-

We have found a really sympathetic plumber who can remove the old system and replace it with a new unvented system-

Since 2012 when we met as activists mums at play group and started Rose Howey with a dream and determination such a beautiful array of humans have found a home here, we have hosted Radical Routes gatherings, voyagers and guests, put on events, gigs and been a consistent voice for 12 years of asylum and migrant activism-

We need some help to have a shower- and it would be great if people who have passed through this beautiful experiment over the years could chuck us a tenner-
