Your contributions are truly appreciated!
The Creekside High School Choir, under the direction of Keith Hall, and the CHS Choral Boosters have commissioned a song to be written in Memory of our son, Sean Sorenson. Choral composer David N. Childs has agreed to write this song to be sung by the Creekside High School Choir during the 2023-2024 school year.
We lost Sean in 2016 to suicide. Not a day goes by when he isn't in our thoughts or those of his classmates. With time we have learned to deal with the heartache that doesn't end, the emptiness that remains, and the loss that endures. We have also learned to smile again, to laugh, and to live.
The family and friends at Creekside High School and in the choir also suffered a great loss. Sean is remembered regularly in the choir room, and now we have an opportunity to remember him through the very music that brought joy into his heart, as it did to anyone who heard him sing.
Please join us in donating so we can commission this song in his memory and allow his presence to continue to touch the school and people so dear to him.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the music. Any funds raised in excess will be split evenly between the Creekside Choral Boosters and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. On behalf of Georgia and Jonathan, we thank you for your support!
