Restore Dignity of WWII Sex Slaves
Donation protected
During the World War II, more than 200,000 young girls and women in Asia were trafficked and forced to serve as sex slaves by the Imperial Japanese Military. Those surviving victims courageously broke the silence and spoke the truth in recent years.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed House Resolution 121 in 2007 calling on the Japanese government to formally acknowledge, apologize, and accept its responsibility in a clear and unequivocal manner for the sexual enslavement of "comfort women."
The Japanese government has not responded to this measure although Japan and Korean did political agreement last December 2015. Moreover, early this year, Abe governemnt denied historical facts that already acknowledged by his ancestors. WCCW (Washington Coalition for Comfort Women Issues, Inc.)
stands aganst historical revisionism, and for the historical truch and justice we launced archival project to research, study, and archive the primary and secondary sources regarding the related war crimes.
WCCW's mission is to eradicate and prevent sex crimes against women by promoting public awareness of war crimes, and we are raising funds for a WCCW Webinar (web based seminar) and Archival Project. We believe that it is not only to restore the dignity of victims but also to defend and to educate human rights and women's rights for all future generations of the global world.
