Kits for Kids Packing Party 2018

The event in 2017 was amazing! We were able to donate over 200 bags to our local Department of Child and Family Services office. We want to do it all again and try to make even more!

LA County has the highest amount of children in foster care in the country! Many of these kids are going from house to house without a bag to carry their few personal items. 
We are going to be putting, "comfort cases" together for our kids here in LA county. Comfort cases are a back pack with a few simple hygiene necessities, pajamas, a book, and a simple toy

Here's a list of what were are trying to put together:
§  Backpack or small duffle bag/suitcase
§  Pajamas or Sleepwear (ranging from child to adult sizes)
§  Small Blanket
§  Toothbrush
§  Toothpaste
§  Shampoo & Conditioner
§  Lotion
§  Soap or Body Wash
§  Deodorant
§  Stuffed Animal
§  Journal, Pens & Pencils
§  Book

We are going to need donations to buy the backpacks and the items to put in them to help kids feel a tiny bit better as they go from place to place. 
You can also come help us pack backpacks for the many foster kids in LA county on March 10th at 11 am!
We will also have representatives from LA Country there to provide information on the foster care system and share pictures of the kids looking for homes in the LA area.
