To those who haven't heard the news yet, Joe Testa, was diagnosed with brain cancer, a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in his temporal lobe in May 2023.
- January 19, 2023 - First seizure and hospitalization
- April 28, 2023 - Craniotomy/Biopsy - While the surgery was successful at removing the bulk of the tumor, its location in the language center prevented its full removal.
- May 5, 2023 - Official diagnosis is in: Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in the Temporal Lobe
- Starting in June 2023, Joe underwent 6 initial weeks of chemo and radiation followed by six rounds of chemo.
- October 21, 2024 - MRI confirms the cancer is growing again
- November 4, 2024 - New chemo treatment begins
- November 11, 2024 - Second Seizure and hospitalization - Due to the size and shape of the tumor, surgical interventions are no longer available. Joe enters palliative care and is responding well to treatments to help his aphasia
We are raising these funds to lessen the financial burden and stress on Joe and Candice and allow her to focus on Joe.
