Cold Caps for Shannon

Our dear friend Shannon Morton was recently diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.
 
In the coming weeks, Shannon will undergo 3 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery to remove the cancer and another 3 rounds of chemotherapy will follow the surgery. Funds raised will go toward a cold cap system and any overage will go toward other needs to support our friend Shannon.

We are raising money to deflect the cost of The Cold Cap that Shannon will use during her chemotherapy treatment.  The cost of the Cold Cap is approximately $450 per month and is not covered by insurance.

Cold caps and scalp cooling systems work by narrowing the blood vessels beneath the skin of the scalp, reducing the amount of chemotherapy medicine that reaches the hair follicles. With less chemotherapy medicine in the follicles, the hair may be less likely to fall out.

Shannon is a beautiful soul, inside and out. A wife, mother, amazing friend and favorite teacher to so many. She is dear to our hearts and the many hearts of children that she has guided over the years.
