A month ago, our world was turned upside down.

As many of you may know, my dad had a bad accident at home that resulted in him being taken to Denver for surgery and rehab. He is currently at Craig Rehabilitation Hospital, where he is receiving the best care from this nationally top-rated facility. He will, unfortunately, have a long road ahead, but with his determination and amazing help from the faculty at Craig, we are hopeful he will make a full recovery!

I know many of you have asked what you can do to help. For anyone interested in helping my parents, I have set up a Go Fund Me page and an account at Minnequa Works Credit Union (in Pueblo). The goal is to assist in covering expenses that will not be covered by the insurance company. The insurance company will NOT cover the full length of stay recommended by the doctor. Since he is showing consistent improvement during his stay, we don’t want to take any potential improvements off the table by allowing an early discharge.
