The Friends-Are-Giving!! Christmas Fundraising Blast is dedicated to opening doors for kids on St. Croix by funding enriching extracurricular classes they might not otherwise access. On December 18th, Sublime STX, Hideaway Rum Bar, and The Mill will unite for a night of community giving, supported by entertainment from Kurt Schindler. The goal is to bring families, local businesses, nonprofits, and youth instructors together to expand opportunities for our island’s children. We want to help young people explore skills, creativity, culture, and the ocean that surrounds us — all through programs that build confidence and broaden their horizons.

St. Croix’s children are bright, curious, and full of potential — but many lack access to the programs that inspire and empower them. These classes spark lifelong interests, build confidence, provide mentorship and positive role models, introduce career pathways, strengthen our community, and offer safe, structured activities. Your support gives our youth the opportunity to grow, explore, and discover who they can become.

Donations will support class fees, materials and supplies, expansion of existing youth programs, additional class seats for children in need, and educational partnerships with community instructors. 100% of funds (after GoFundMe processing fees) directly support youth programs on St. Croix. Current offerings include cooking with Justin Smith at Lions Haven, fishing with Lioness Sport Fishing, scuba diving with Blue Salt Divers, reef restoration with Reef Restoration, dance and art with CMCArts, and sailing with St. Croix Youth Sailing Association.
