Hello, my name is Chris. I work in a shelter for women and couples in Portland, Oregon.
Earlier this year, I experienced an injury that has kept me away from work. It required surgery fix, as well as around a month away from work. Even before the surgery, got several months, I had to rely on pay from reduced hours. My funds have suffered, and, despite my best efforts, my employer has been unwilling to pay for any of my time off. My surgery was on 5/25. I’m recovering at home, and I will be out of work until the second or third week of June.
Up until now, I have relied on my savings, and individual donations from friends and family. I’ve exhausted this option, but am finally close to resolving this and going back to work. Please help in any way you can.
