Charlie Fethke Lymphoma Fund
These are my parents Helen and Charlie who have been married for over 25 years. He is a CNA at a family medical clinic at the Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs for 10 years. He is a father of 4, two sons and two daughters, and a grandfather of 4 wonderful little boys. He is a sci-fi loving, book hoarding, walking encyclopedia. He has a green thumb, loves his fish tanks and being outdoors. Charlie is funny, insightful, intelligent, stubborn, caring, silly, generous, kind, and loving. He is always willing to help those in need.
On January 30th 2018 my father was at work and had shortness of breath and chest pain. They did a CT scan and found a large chest mass. Over the last month he has had numerous doctors appointments and diagnostic testing for a diagnosis of Diffused Large B Cell Lymphoma. The treatment plan is 6 rounds of Chemotherapy with possible radiation to follow. He is unable to work during this time and his short term disability won't start for 2 months. The lack of his income along with the hundreds of dollars spent on medication, copays, and deductibles can be overwhelming and a strain on our family finances. Anything whether its $1, $100, prayers, or positive thoughts helps our family so much in this difficult, stressful time.
His first chemotherapy session is on Tuesday March 5th. We will continue to update everyone on how his treatment is going. Thank you for your generosity. <3
