On Wednesday, March 8, Chad Laffan was admitted to United Regional Hospital for what seemed like a simple case of pancreatitis. Unfortunately, in the early morning hours of March 9, and for unknown reasons, Chad went into cardiac arrest twice. Since then, Chad has had 3 surgeries and will have his fourth today, March 20, for a tracheostomy. Chad now requires dialysis, as the medication he was on to maintain his blood pressure damaged his kidneys. Chad currently remains in CCU.
Chad is a former Marine, and has coached sports for his children's teams for the last 11 years. He is a friend to, and loved by, many. But above all, he is a family man, and i am sure he is nipping at the heels to get back to his wife Carol, and their children Ciara and Caiden.
All monies raised will go directly to Carol to assist with medical bills and to recover lost wages, as she continues to stay at her husband's side.
