Celebrating Alex Valdez: A Life Full of Love and Joy

Our Charming Man

Jesus Alejandro Valdez, better known as “Alex” by his beloved friends, family, and pupils, was critically injured in a car accident on January 1st, 2026, at just 30 years old. He succumbed to his injuries a few days later.

Alex was vibrant in a way you felt immediately. If you talked to him for even a few minutes, you walked away lighter, inspired, and smiling. He had this natural way of making people feel seen and energized just by being himself.

He was most commonly known for his running abilities and his friendly and happy demeanor. His love for running inspired his family, students, friends, and everyone else around him. There wasn’t a race he couldn’t win or a friend he couldn’t make.

Aside from running, Alex lived his values deeply. He was vegan for six years because he truly cared about animals, and he helped foster over 100 at-risk orphaned kittens. He did his best to live in an organic and eco-friendly way, thrift shopping his heart out whenever he could. His compassion spread to others through his actions. Those who met him, even once, knew he loved to love life. He’d sing and dance and encourage others to do the same. His kindness was contagious, and his joy was impossible to miss. Being unique wasn’t just something Alex believed in—it was something he practiced every single day. You could always count on him—to cheer you on, to laugh with you, and to remind you not to take life so seriously.

His parents, Jesus and Guadalupe Valdez, and siblings Gavi, Laura, Rosi, Erika, and Daniel humbly ask for your assistance to pay for the Hospital Care and Ceremonial Procedures including:
Mounting medical expenses
End of Life Care
Legal Fees
Ceremonial passing events

No amount is too small and if you cannot give, please pray for the peace of his family, who miss him dearly, and for Alex to smile, dance, and sing until we see him again.

We’re so thankful for everyone who knew and loved Alex. Thank you for sharing life with him, for celebrating who he was, and for keeping his spirit alive in your memories. Remembering Alex means honoring a life lived fully, bravely, and with so much passion for joy.
