Cartoon Cuts has partnered with Hair Aid to help villagers in Southeast Asia find a pathway out of poverty.
Volunteer hairstylists teach a five-day haircutting course, enabling trainees to start a micro-business. Cartoon Cuts is sending six stylists to Thailand to help train in March 2020.
Training can be under a tree or on a basketball court - wherever there is space and people willing to learn. In five days, the locals will learn five basic cuts. With their newfound skills, and tools that we will donate, the locals can go on to open their own micro-businesses - even on the side of a road - to start earning money to feed their children. To date, Hair Aid has trained over 3,700 people.
Let’s give the volunteers and trainees the tools they need! How can YOU help?
$25 provides a backpack filled with shears, sectioning clips, a comb, a brush and a cape for trainees
$50 provides meals for one volunteer hairstylist while in Thailand
$100 provides necessary travel immunizations for one volunteer hairstylist to travel to Thailand
$500 provides meals and lodging for two volunteer hairstylists while in Thailand
