It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. Longtime Encinitas devotee Linda Bodiker’s only son, 34-year-old Ben, who she adored, was struck and killed by a drunk driver while walking along West San Marcos Boulevard on Saturday, December 13.

Linda is a dear friend who is facing unimaginable heartbreak. The sudden loss of her beloved son, Ben Lo Cicero, has left Linda and all who care about her in deep shock and sorrow, especially as the Holiday Season approaches — a time she had hoped to spend making memories with Ben.

In the midst of this devastating experience, Linda is now faced with the overwhelming burden of funeral expenses, taking care of her aging mother, and other immediate needs. The emotional and financial challenges are immense, and she needs the support of her friends and community more than ever. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease some of the weight she is carrying and allow her to focus on healing and honoring Ben’s memory.
