Anhi "Annie" Sy is a fixture of Strathcona and has been returning bottles for over 15 years.  Many of you know her from buying "B" at Mclean park or coming to your house  with the biggest smile for some empties.  Often leaving some candy or treats behind for you in return.  Unfortunately Annie has terminal cancer and at 82 years old has been unable to get out of the house.  COVID has made this situation especially difficult and updates from her have been hard to get.  Thankfully her brother came to Vancouver from the United States a year ago to take care of her as she is very weak.  I know Annie touched a lot of people, I just didn't know there was that many of you out there.  I am hoping with this GoFundMe to raise some money for her to help with her care and make it the most comfortable it can be and also help her brother who has been by her side this entire time.  She doesn't have any other family, just her big extended Strathcona family. She would never ask and is probably going to hate receiving anything, but I know we can show her how much we love her.  
All the funds raised will go to Anhi Sy to be used for her immediate care.
