Hello, my name is Wafaa from the Gaza Strip, specifically Rafah city. I am married and a mother of five children (Nour, Nada, Karim, Muhammad, Elias) and I work as a nurse in the children's department - Al-Najjar Hospital - Rafah. I am the breadwinner for the family. My husband is sick and suffers from pain, problems and a herniated disc in his back and cannot work.

Since the morning of October 7, our lives have been turned upside down and changed for the worse because of this devastating war on our country. The situation began to gradually become more difficult. On May 6, 2024, the greatest disaster for my family and all the residents of Rafah Governorate occurred when the unjust military operation began on our city and occupied it. We were all forced to be displaced and evacuated to the center of the Gaza Strip in areas that they classify as safe, as the enemy claims. I left my home and my workplace and my family and I were displaced to these areas. Unfortunately, my home and my family were completely destroyed. Also, the hospital in which I worked, the only one in our city, was destroyed. Our city has now become unfit for living. It was completely destroyed.

Now we live in a tent. My family does not protect us from the summer heat or the winter cold in a camp housing the displaced in Khan Younis, and our life has become very difficult. I also did not stop my humanitarian health work towards my people, as I moved to work in the children’s department at Al-Nasser Medical Complex - Khan Younis, despite the low salaries and the difficulty and danger of the matter.

Therefore, I decided to create a Go Found Me campaign for me and my family to help us in these very horrific circumstances, as we need clothes, food, drink and other necessities.
