Buying Time to Heal: Fund-Raiser for Jeff Rymer

Jim Rodgers, Melody Sellers, Jerry Megli and I are raising funds for our dear friends Jeff Rymer and Silvia Costantino, who live and work in Mentone. As some of you know, Jeff suffered a major heart attack that will require several operations, and he is taking six medicines daily to control and hopefully reverse congestive heart failure. Jeff has had one major surgery already at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga and will have several more surgeries once he sufficiently recovers.

Like many in Mentone, Jeff and Silvia are artists who depend on their creativity and ability to produce and sell their work as their sole means of income. However, Jeff is not able to split logs and make furniture right now because of his health, and Silvia may be unable to devote time in her shop or at her loom as she cares for her beloved.

The patient advocate at Erlanger helped Jeff apply for disability, so funds raised here will help “see them through” the next three months of the qualifying period.

Some of you may have been in a similar situation yourself. Unfortunately, now it is Jeff and Silvia’s turn. You have an opportunity to help your friends or to just help someone in need. Time to pay it forward! Any amount you can give will be a blessing to them. Thank you!
