Salt Spring, we urgently need your help!

We are Saltspring Vital Kitchen ( samosas, curries, cakes, chai etc- all organic, vegan, and gluten free) from the Salt Spring Farmer's Market.

Little bit about ourselves...

Our names are Yuki, Hideki, Salama and Noam

It has all started,Our Country had a nuclear accident past 10 year’s ago.

We decided to escape and travel all around the world, to find a new place to live, and We discovered Saltspring.

We are so grateful to all our regular customers over the past 7 years.

Since August suddenly.

we were told by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) that we had to stop selling food at the market because of changed new officer and changed regulations. We already have permit since this April. Because every year we applied then got a permit.

From previous officer,

However.new officer does not admit.

This is our busiest time of year and the loss of income has been devastating for our family. We have been in communication with VIHA to understand what we need to do in order to continue our business. Communication has been challenging, delayed and not clear.I know hygiene management is important.We had to follow there new regulations.

We had no choices.Unfortunately they are not given to grace period and notice.

If we can bring Certificate mobile Food carts .we can vending again.but it is too expensive.and we can not buy it quickly.

This is where we need community support:

From what we understand we need to bring our certified mobile kitchen or a new licensed food cart and every time to the market. We are unable to sell from our table anymore. The problem is that our Van is in very old and bad condition and we will need a stronger vehicle with a hitch in order to pull the mobile kitchen or new cart.

We need approximately $30000 -$50000 to make this happen.
