Butler Family Medical Bills for Charlotte Butler

The Butler family is one of the most self-sacrificing families I have ever had the privilege of knowing. And it is time that they be the ones that deserve some help.
Robert and Mindy Butler have 7 children: Alestair, Emmett, Oliver, Fay, Charlotte, Leopold and Wesley. They live in a modest home in Granite Falls, WA where they serve their community constantly. Robert served on the school board for many years while Mindy would go volunteer in her kid’s schools. Every year Mindy also puts together, right before school starts, a clothing swap for those who can’t necessarily afford to go buy new clothes for school. Their children are involved in extracurricular activities that are in the Granite Falls community. Not only do they serve their local community, but they also serve in their church. If you ever need help, they are there, willing and ready to go.
Hard times have hit the Butler family before, but this time, it’s not something they can fix on their own. They don’t like asking for help when they know they can work things out themselves. But this time is VERY different.
Their 6-year-old daughter, Charlotte, has been having seizures for the last 2 years. They’ve gone to multiple Neurosurgeons in the Western Washington area, and all of them can’t figure out what is specifically wrong with her. She doesn’t have the typical signs of Epilepsy and her seizures are different and affect her brain differently than what the Neurologists can figure out. Mindy was told about Neurologists in Utah and an awesome children's hospital that have been doing amazing work. While going to one of the many appointments there in Utah, the incredible doctors were able to find the small malformation in Charlotte’s brain that is causing her seizures. The medical diagnosis is “Drug Resistant Focal Aware Epilepsy caused by Malformation in the Brain”. All the medications that she has had to take that the doctors in Washington had prescribed, wouldn’t do what needed to be done to stop her seizures. All they did was change Charlotte’s personality, but her seizures continued. For many of her seizures, Charlotte was aware of what was happening to her body and the space around her. No child should have to suffer through this. No family should have to deal with this. Surgery is the only way.
Between the travel and medical costs, the Butler family are having an extremely tough time covering all those rising and impending costs.
Please find it in your hearts so spare some money to help this family that has helped so many.
