The Burghardt family are easily some of the most selfless and caring people I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know.  I have always considered them my second family and I was always treated like family, as they treated everyone else. I have spent most of my years around them with Jordan as one of my best friends and have witnessed first hand what a true loving family is like. Recently, their rock, Kirk, was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive form of Neurendocrine Carcinoma in his throat. When they found it, it had unfortunately already moved to his liver and stomach and was declared terminal. Kirk is a husband, father, brother, papa and beloved friend. Wendy, Kirk’s wife, and the family will have a lot of upcoming expenses that will not be covered by insurance. Therefore, I am setting this up in hopes to offset the costs that have incurred and will incur in the near future.  Even though there is no cost to cure this pain, I’m hoping we can all come together to ease the hardship of life. Please help them with anything and everything in this time of need. The tiniest bit will help.
