Buddy Bears for Children's Hospital 2020
Would you sponsor a bear for our 2020 Campaign? Bears will go to:
-Children at the Prisma Children's Hospital
-Children at Serenity Place (a residential treatment center for young mothers with preschool-age children)
-The Travelers Rest Fire Department for use in comforting children in emergencies throughout the year.
This year we are celebrating 5 years of "Elf in Greenville," a project to spread Christmas cheer in and around Greenville, SC.
In 2016 my wife convinced me to don yellow tights and walk Main Street for the Travelers Rest Christmas Parade as Buddy the Elf. We got such a great reaction, we expanded to shoot a fun video around Greenville.

In 2017 we expanded the project to include teddy bear delivery to Prisma Children's Hospital.

In 2018 we also partnered with Serenity Place and The Family Effect to deliver bears to the children of residents there.

In 2019 we actually had enough bears to ALSO deliver to the Travelers Rest Fire Department for their use in comforting children in emergencies during the year.

This year we unfortunately cannot VISIT the hospital, but we are still buying bears to be delivered soon before Christmas. Every child at Prisma Children's Hospital at that time will receive one. We even leave behind boxes of bears for future patients.

On a personal note, I'd like to thank my sponsors for this project each year. It is a highlight of my year to see the joy that Buddy and these bears bring. Pictured above is my niece, Kieli, who was admitted with a rare Leukemia only a few days before last year's bear delivery. Thanks to God and the wonderful doctors and staff at Prisma, she is now cancer-free!
