Disaster Relief for The Broussards
My sister, Torrey, and her family were dramatically affected by the 2016 flooding in Louisiana. Their home is in an area not considered a flood zone, right outside of Maurice. On Saturday, August 13th they were surprised to see water rising around them, and eventually into their home. Sunday morning, they were rescued by one of Brandon's fellow Lafayette firemen. At the time of being rescued, several feet of water had entered their home, ruining all flooring, furniture, appliances, and any other items inside and out that they were unable to pick up before leaving for safety. Everything will need to be redone, and replaced. We are very thankful that everyone is safe. At this time, I am asking for any donations for my sister and her family of 4 so they can start fixing what they can of their home. Anything is GREATLY appreciated to help them rebuild their home! Thank you in advance for your kindness!!
Thank you,
Kristen Bourque
