Long story short...
On May 18th Brooke began having severe stomach pains. After going to several hospitals she found out that her adrenal gland had ruptured. This is apparently rare and not a lot of doctors knew exactly what to do, so they would give her some pain relief and send her home. She was told that she would have to have the adrenal gland surgically removed but only after all the blood surrounding it had gone away. She finally was able to get in to see an endocrinologist specialist after being in pain for a month. The specialist sent her in for a PET scan and she received some devastating news the next day. She was told she has cancer based off of the PET scan results. A mass was shown on her adrenal gland, her chest, her lungs, her colon, her lower abdomen and near her back. She is now scheduled for a biopsy on Monday morning to find out exactly what she has going on.
The medical bills are already beginning to add up and will continue to do so throughout the course of getting her healthy again! So please, if you can help take some stress off of their family it would be so greatly appreciated. The money raised here will also go toward other things they may need during this time.
