Help Brooke Follow Her Dreams to New York!

Hi, my name is Brooke Taylor and I am fundraising for my first year of rent in New York, so I can pursue my artistic dreams! Instead of a traditional Open House, I am producing an "Open Concert", where I am creating and performing in my own one-woman show! I know my first year of change in THE BIG APPLE will be a transition so I am hoping and praying for some extra support in paying rent. I have been dancing since I was three years old and just recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During my time at Michigan, I found that one of my passions is the intersection of art and activism, which manifests in creating work that educates audiences on black stories. Additionally, I have planned two artistic protests, Dance for Floyd and Drive In For Justice, for the Black Lives Matter Movement. This past February, I produced a concert: An Evening for Sarah, for civil rights activist and survivor of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing, Sarah Collins Rudolph.
