Hello, my name is Paula Sandoval and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of the Routa family who recently suffered an unimaginable loss - the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father, son, Michael Routa.

Mike was a devoted husband, loving father, loving son, and cherished friend to so many. He passed away unexpectedly in Salt Lake City, far from home. We are hoping to raise funds to help with funeral and transportation costs so the Routa family can bring him home to California to be laid to rest surrounded by family and friends. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help them honor his life and support his family during this incredibly difficult time. We are all deeply grateful for your kindness and support.

Mike is survived by his wife, Brenda Routa, daughter Emilly I. Routa, father Wolfgang Routa. Mother-in-law, Blanca Cabrera, Father-in-law, Maximiliano Cabrera and brother-in-law, Max Cabrera. The Routa and Cabrera family would like to thank everyone for their condolences, prayers, compassion, and love.

The Funeral Mass will be held on January 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, located at 7390 W Manchester Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90045, followed by a burial at 12:00 PM at Inglewood Park Cemetery, located at 720 E Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301.
