Bring The Caves to Life in NYC

Hello, my loves!

Last year, I had the great joy and pleasure of presenting a staged reading of my full-length play, "The Caves", for Pridefest 2024 at The Tank. "The Caves" is a romantic period drama about Prima and Maggie, two women who fall in love on the frontier of the Old West. I learned so much about the theatrical process and what I was capable of, and have since been sending this piece to any and every theater and festival I could find.

I am extremely happy to announce that "The Caves" has been accepted to Circle Festival 2025, presented by The RJ Theater Company. This is a thrilling opportunity because "The Caves" has graduated from a staged reading to an actual production! There will be a set, costumes, a five-weekend show run, and everything.

To make this production happen, I will need your help. Producing this elegant, minimalist show, we will require funding. $7,000, to be exact. This is a lot of money for any average person, but especially for an out-of-work playwright like me. These funds will go towards paying for the venue, tech, and promotion of this show, to see what this play can be and do.

I believe in the audience that came to see our staged reading last June, and I know that people all over New York City and the world are longing for new, original, challenging work that explores new perspectives and gives talented artists a moment to shine and be seen. I am calling on those people to contribute to this project.

If 1,000 people in the world gave $7 to this campaign, we would be ready to go. This play is by and for ordinary people who want to make something special and it will take ordinary people such as yourself to make this happen. I hope that you are able to give any amount but $5, $10, $20 would go a long way to getting "The Caves" on an off-Broadway stage this Fall.
