Kimball Family Fundraiser for Funeral & Reunification

Hello Everyone, My name is Dawn Switzer and I am a very good friend of Shanda Hopkins and her family. Generous, Loving and Kind are just a few words to describe Shanda and her family. People who would literally give the shirt of their backs and the shoes off of their feet to help anyone in need.

It is with great sadness that I am writing this, and asking you all to help Shanda and her family during this tragic time.

On October 14th 2024, during the early hours of the morning, Shanda, Shane, Shawn and Samuel lost their Father, Kirby Kimball (Of Houston Texas), unexpectedly. Though this is a tragedy in itself, it has left the youngest brother Samuel Kimball (Age 11) who did everything he could to save his Father, on his own in Texas while his siblings all reside in Canada. Currently Shanda and Shane are in Texas trying to do everything in their power to bring Samuel home to Canada with them and get all of Kirby's affairs in order.

Unfortunately, for this very close set of siblings there were no measures put in place to insure the financial security of Samuel in the event of Kirby's passing. The main concern is making sure young Samuel can be reunited with his family in Canada as Shanda is in the fight of her life to gain custody of him. Some of the expenditures this family is now facing include, a Funeral and Memorial, Lawyers Fees, Flights and accommodation, Medical bills, moving expenses and necessities for Samuel. All donations made will be going to Shanda to use for the things listed above.

Kirby was a loving and amazing father to all 4 of his children. He frequently made sure that they could all spend quality family time together either in Canada or the USA. Currently, Shanda and Shane are doing their best to manage the costs of everything for Kirby and Samuel while missing work and being away from their families for an undetermined amount of time.
