Bring Holiday Joy to Juan David and Eliyanys' Family

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

We come to you with a special request from the heart. Randy and I have had the privilege of opening our home to a beautiful family who has shown us the true meaning of resilience, hope, and love. For the past five weeks, we’ve hosted Juan David, Eliyanys, and their precious 6-week-old daughter, Daniasha, as they start a new chapter of their lives in the United States. Now, we’re asking for your help in a small way to make a huge difference in their lives and the lives of their loved ones back home.

Juan David and Eliyanys left their homes in Colombia and Venezuela, hoping for a brighter future for themselves and their daughter. Life in Venezuela has been especially difficult, as Eliyanys shared with me that her mother works grueling hours for only $5 a day—barely enough to feed her family for a day. Despite these hardships, they remain hopeful and determined to build a better life here in the U.S.

Eliyanys has dreams of supporting her family back home, especially during this holiday season. She hopes to send money for a Christmas Eve dinner and gifts for her sister, but she can’t do this alone. Your donation, no matter how small, will help send money to her family so they can celebrate Christmas together. After meeting their immediate needs, we’ll help them start a fund for securing an apartment, so they can continue to build their future here.

In the time we’ve spent together, we’ve laughed, shared stories, and learned so much from one another. Eliyanys and Juan David’s unwavering faith in God and love for their family has inspired us. They remind us daily to cherish the little things and live with joy, even in the face of hardship.

We’re reaching out to you, our community, because we know the generosity of those around us can make a tangible difference. If you feel moved to give, any amount will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping Juan David and Eliyanys build a brighter future for themselves and their family. Thank you for considering this—whether you can contribute or simply offer a prayer, every act of kindness counts.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of this journey with us. Together, we can make this Christmas a little brighter for those in need and show how much our community cares.

With love and gratitude,
Randy and Meg Swearingen
