In August of 2016, a devastating flood overtook the heart of Louisiana leaving tens thousands of homes underwater. Living in one of these home were the Bridges: Bronson (U of Louisiana Lafayette), Sarah (Ouachita Baptist U), their son London and their soon-to-be-born daughter, Charlotte. Also living there were Sarah’s parents, David and Gay Lynn Smith. David and Gay Lynn served as missionaries overseas for 30 years!

But due to the scams that are abundant, GoFund has asked that I identify myself so you KNOW that this is a REAL family and I'm a REAL person setting up this account for them. I went to college (OBU c/o 2006) with Sarah and shared an apartment with her for our "super senior" semester! }
Within hours after the rain started, their home was filled with several feet of water destroying the walls, floors, furniture, appliances, and more! Their neighborhood was not in a flood zone, therefore no flood insurance was required. As a result, neither the home itself, nor a single ruined item can be claimed as a loss. The Bridges and Smiths are starting completely over and they need our help!
The money that you donate will go toward major home repairs, furniture replacement, appliance replacement, and other various household items that are needed.
This is a wonderful Christian family that has been serving the Lord, the church, and others for decades! Please consider giving any amount to help this family rebuild their lives! Thank you!
