On Friday February 21st Brian Brown tragically passed away.  He attended Ross High School in Fremont, OH and graduated from Ohio University in 2004 with a degree in criminology.  He was member of the Ohio University football team and later a member of the Upper Arlington OH police department.  He was friend and brother to many people and touched many lives in a special way.  He was an active and avid member of CORE and loved his brothers!!
Brian’s sudden and unexpected passing has a left a void in the hearts of many.  A group of his former teammates have decided to try to create a legacy for Brian that will help his memory live on.  We are seeking donations to create an endowment at Ohio University in Brian’s name to help future students and to remember the B Brown we all loved so much.

My name is Adam Porter and I played football with Brian at Ohio University from the fall of 1999 thru the spring of 2004.  I currently live in Upper Arlington where Brian was a police officer and we still ran into each other on a regular basis.  It was always fun seeing Brian. Steve Lawrence and myself decided we wanted to do something to help everyone honor Brian.  The funds we former football players are trying to raise will go to Ohio University.  The amount we raise will play a role in whether those funds become a permanent endowment or rather a flexible spending account or other form of remembrance.  In any event ALL money raised will be given to Ohio University.
