Brett's Recovery Fund
Doação protegida
My dear friend for twenty years, Brett Zanocco, has suffered a devastating hemorrhagic stroke. Brett is only 38 years old. He is currently recovering at Riverside Community Hospital. Right now Brett is in a medically induced coma while the doctors work on eliminating the bleeding and reducing the swelling of his brain. The progress is slow but promising. His doctors have managed to bring his blood pressure down and have lessened the bleeding and swelling. Due to the location of the hemorrhage, doctors project that Brett will face significant physical and cognitive disabilities. For instance, CT scans indicate that Brett will be paralyzed on his left side. Once doctors successfully control his hemorrhage they will be able to awaken him from his medically induced coma and fully ascertain the damage done.
Brett's mother, Vicki, really needs our help in raising funds to defray Brett's medical costs. Her immediate needs also include money for transportation costs as she drives from Hemet to Riverside everyday in order to visit her son. Vicki's needs are urgent as she is on a fixed income; one that Brett helped to supplement. I am asking for contributions up to and exceeding five thousand dollars. This is a very conservative figure. Everyone knows how expensive medical care and hospital stays can be and we are not sure how long Brett will need to stay in the hospital nor the costs of convalescence and therapy afterwards. I will increase the amount as goals are met and offer updates on Brett's condition.
