Redirect the Check
Donation protected
COVID-19 has had an impact on all of us - but many in our community lost their jobs in the last year and have had trouble paying rent and putting food on their tables. In late January, we launched our Redirect the Check campaign to help three local nonprofits who work tirelessly to help those in need. We asked our community to donate all or some of their federal stimulus check to the effort, and you blew us away with your response.
Through your generous donations and a $10,000 match from our parent company, TDS, we were able to raise more than $50,000 for those agencies.
This time, we're hoping to do better. If you're in the position to help, we invite you to consider donating all or some of your stimulus payment again. All of the money raised will be distributed evenly - LOCALLY - to the Family Access Network, Shepherd's House and the Giving Plate. TDS has once again agreed to match the first $10,000 raised. Your generosity will help our community as we slowly rebound from the pandemic.
Thank you for making a difference,
The Central Oregon Daily Team
