January 26th 2021 is the day we as a family will never forget.
There was a devastating fire at my father's old service station. As many already know Bob is technically my stepfather who graciously took us under his wing and I do consider him a father for more reasons then I'm willing to count . We lost everything as most saw. My father spent 50 years of his life putting everything into the gas station. He is a Vietnam Veteran, who thankfully made it home. When he came home from the war shortly after decided to go to school and then afterwards opened the "old" Citgo station that everyone knows as Bob's Crossroads Service on McCoy's corner.
As I write this memories flood my head from helping pump gas at a young age, to remembering 9/11 having a line of cars up the road past the library because we didnt raise the gas price till we closed we pumped gas that day till we ran out. Memories of spending our Thanksgivings and Christmas Eve's pumping gas while my father worked on a couple cars until 4pm so we could go home to celebrate also. Many nights pumping brakes to help bleed brakes on customers cars. As a teenager in high school, I spent my weekends working the gas pumps.
Many know that my father Bob, has helped others when in need and know that he would never ask anyone for anything. I write this because he doesn't know I'm trying to help him by raising funds for the cost of clean up, repairs and some lost wages since he doesn't own the building the building is owned by a company. At this point anything will help and I Thank everyone that was involved in putting out the fire and anyone who has made sure everyone was ok.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I want to place a special recognition to Bob's 6 children, 13 grandchildren and especially his wife for standing together in this devastating hardship. The memories we all hold dear will near be forgotten.
