# ❤️ Help Keep the Blessing of the Fleet Alive – Celebrating 70 Years and Entering Our 71st Year!

**70 years of tradition. Generations of memories. One community. One future.**

For 70 years, the Ulladulla Blessing of the Fleet Festival has been at the heart of our community. It is more than just an event — it is a celebration of our fishing heritage, our coastal identity, our local businesses, our families, and the incredible community spirit that makes our region so special.

Each year, thousands of people come together to enjoy the parade, celebrate our traditions, support local businesses, and create memories that last a lifetime. For many families, the Blessing of the Fleet is a tradition passed down through generations.

**But now, this much-loved tradition needs our help.**

Our dedicated volunteer Festival Committee works tirelessly to bring this event to life. However, rising costs, reduced sponsorship opportunities, and increasingly difficult grant funding have placed enormous pressure on the future of the festival.

To put things into perspective, closing the highway for the day alone costs approximately **$30,000** — before we even begin to cover staging, traffic management, safety, insurance, entertainment, and the many other essential costs involved in delivering a safe and successful event.

As we celebrate our 70th anniversary and look towards entering our 71st year, we face a difficult reality: without greater community support, the future of the Blessing of the Fleet may be at risk.

### Together, We Can Keep This Tradition Alive!

We are asking our community, visitors, families, and everyone who has ever enjoyed the Blessing of the Fleet to help us secure its future.

Whether you can contribute $10, $20, $50, or more, **every single donation makes a difference.** Imagine what we could achieve if hundreds of people each gave a small amount to protect something so meaningful to our community.

Your donation will help the volunteer committee meet essential event costs and continue delivering a festival that celebrates our heritage, brings people together, supports local businesses, and creates opportunities for future generations.

This is about more than funding an event. It is about protecting our history, honouring the generations who built this tradition, and ensuring our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to experience the magic of the Blessing of the Fleet for years to come.

**❤️ Don't let 70 years of memories become a thing of the past.**

Please donate what you can, share this fundraiser with your family and friends, and help spread the word. Together, we can show what our community is capable of when we unite behind something we love.

Let's celebrate our 70th year with pride and step into our 71st year with hope.

**Help us keep the Blessing of the Fleet alive. Our history matters. Our community matters. Our future matters.**

With heartfelt thanks and appreciation,

The Blessing of the Fleet Festival Committee ❤️⚓
