Blessing Melissa Burkhart

My sweet friend Melissa Burkhart was diagnosed this summer with Invasive Carcinoma HER2+. This is a fast growing breast cancer.  She has already undergone several surgeries, as well as having to continue treatments of radiation and infusions into July of 2021.  Her most recent surgery on December 8th, was a mastectomy.  Melissa will still have at least one more surgery for this in the future.

Before the diagnosis, Melissa worked 2-3 jobs in order to make ends meet.  Her primary job was working full time as a one-on-one with a hard of hearing student. This job is her passion! She is absolutely amazing at what she does.  However, it takes more than that one income to pay the bills. Her second job was doing respite care for special needs adults.  Both jobs are a testament to her love and dedication to others.  She has such a caring spirit. 
 
With all of this being said, Melissa has been unable to work due to her treatments and overall health. This is where you come in. First and foremost, I would ask you to lift her up in prayer. Next, if you are able and feel led to, please contribute to help meet her financial needs so she can focus on healing and not on the mounting medical bills.
