Billy Owens Smith, a longtime football and basketball coach, beloved husband doting father of three, devoted son and brother, faithful friend, and avid San Francisco 49er fan, lost his life tragically on January 17, 2020.

His unexpected and sudden passing at the young age of 41 has left a huge hole in the hearts of his family, friends and the community that he so fervently served. Those who knew Billy, remember his devotion to his family, and the many children that he mentored and coached in the Greenbelt community.  Billy never met a stranger and always made people around him feel welcome no matter the circumstances. He was the constant comedian and life of the party. Our lives are all a little brighter and our hearts a little fuller having known him.

Billy leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Kristina Smith, and their three heartbeats, Layla, Sameera, and Kadin.

This GoFundMe page was created by a close family friend with the family's permission.
