In 2024, I will be participating in the 100 mile Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra to raise funds for Yukon Search and Rescue. Yukon Search and Rescue is a volunteer non-profit association that carries out land and water based search and rescue efforts for lost and missing persons in the Yukon. They're the people who would come out to help find you, whatever the weather, whatever the time of day, whatever the conditions.

Abi (my wife) and I spend a lot of time in the backcountry, and the backcountry in the Yukon is pretty remote and unforgiving. We've not had to call them out, but knowing that there are people out there prepared to help should something go really wrong, and I mean really wrong as preparation is everything in this country, is a great comfort.

YSAR needs the best and newest equipment, and that costs money. Two things that the association really needs are a vacuum mattress and portable scene lighting for search command areas.

The mattress costs and portable lighting will cost around $2,000.

Join me in making a difference and supporting this important cause.
