Hi, my name is Y'sland Miller-Seymore, and I’m a first-generation college student with a big heart and even bigger dreams. I’m currently studying to become a child life specialist—a career that means the world to me because I want to give the same care and support to children that I received growing up. As someone who spent a lot of time in hospitals as a child for medical reasons, I know firsthand how powerful compassionate care can be.

Now, I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Melbourne, Australia. This isn’t just a chance to travel—it’s a chance to grow in my faith, connect with global communities, and deepen my understanding of child development and care in diverse settings. I’m especially passionate about serving children in areas where poverty is normalized and bringing awareness to their stories through my work.
